Amnesty International - Trial by Timeline →
Scan your Facebook Timeline and see what crimes you’re guilty of around the world. what we take for granted on a daily basis is something other people are dying for elsewhere in the world. this is heartbreaking.

it really is the littlest of things...
i spent my saturday adjudicating the debate section at the Malaysian regional round of the World  Scholar’s Cup at the Australian International School, with this being my second year helping out, and i had the pleasure of meeting some very wonderful (and smart) teenagers from all these different countries. and something happened to me, for the very first time….. it was a round right...

gastronomics: laduree, at harrod's london
i’m a sweet tooth, and here in malaysia i do my best to scout for the best macarons in town, so it’s needless to say that during my eurotrip i made it a point to go both the laduree in london and paris, and i even attempted to head to the one in Istanbul, but that one was closed for renovations at the time..  harrods has a pretty strict no photography policy, and i don’t blame...

travel throwback: london payphones
yes, i’m guilty of taking the cheesiest and more touristy photo possible in london - the payphone shot. and to make it worse, Maroon 5’s ‘Payphone’ was pretty much on loop on the radio, so it was inevitable that i commit this crime. my friend Jen Zen (who was my eurotrip buddy) shot this in Covent Garden on our way to dinner at Jamie’s Italian. he had the sense to...

gastronomics: brunei
food in brunei is pretty much similar to whatever you’d find in malaysia or indonesia, but there is one dish that’s uniquely local: ‘ambuyat’ instead of eating rice with side dishes like fried prawns, grilled fish, and beef ‘rendang’, you substitute the rice with steamed sago, which shows up on the table in a heated pot as a gooey semi-transparent blob. it...

yes, my travel blog will begin as promised, but...
I didn’t bring my laptop with me to Brunei, just my iPad, so I’d rather wait until I get back to Malaysia to properly blog. there are so many things I’ve learnt here in Brunei about society and perception, and it’s truly been an education - I’ve only been here for 2 days and its making me question so much, including some ideologies that I’ve always thought were...

touchdown: BRUNEI
just landed in Brunei a couple of hours ago, and I’m here to visit my lovely Singaporean-Bruneian friend Nabilah, who I met through the debating scene a couple of years ago. it’s definitely very quiet here, which is a pleasant change from the chaotic city I’m used to. and I can’t get over how petrol here is only USD0.43 cents a litre.

liking the new layout!?
hey guys! i’m baaaacckkkk (though technically i’m still travelling around getting material for the EP) some of you may have realized that my blog was dead, because it was. my URL of keanareinu.com expired and i completely forgot to renew it until some good friends of mine alerted me to that situation, so after renewing it i figured why not renew my blog’s look too!

let's go somewhere..
fingers crossed, but i might be heading over to singapore this weekend with the high-school buds! first we checked out flights, then we looked at bus options, then we were like - “let’s just drive!!”  it’ll be my best friend’s first time in singapore, so that’s pretty much why we’re going.. i’ve been there countless times (duh, we’re...

i can't believe i'm saying this but...
i like the sun. i like the warmth. i like wearing as little clothes as possible. not just because its a lot more comfortable that way, it also means less laundry to do. but after being away for 6 weeks in european winter, (and despite hating the weather there for the first few weeks) i never thought i’d say it but i think i miss the cold. don’t get me wrong, i do NOT miss the messy...

i'm baaaaaack!!
so my blog had been dead. if you’re wondering why even my instagram feed has been dead its because my iPhone died on me a few weeks ago when i landed in Istanbul. i’m still pretty jetlaggged so i’ll start the posts coming as soon as i can, on a city by city basis (probably being a little bit ambitious here) and please send me any cover suggestions!! i’m planning to record...
