i spent my saturday adjudicating the debate section at the Malaysian regional round of the World Scholar’s Cup at the Australian International School, with this being my second year helping out, and i had the pleasure of meeting some very wonderful (and smart) teenagers from all these different countries.

i’m a sweet tooth, and here in malaysia i do my best to scout for the best macarons in town, so it’s needless to say that during my eurotrip i made it a point to go both the laduree in london and paris, and i even attempted to head to the one in Istanbul, but that one was closed for renovations at the time..

touchdown: BRUNEI
just landed in Brunei a couple of hours ago, and I’m here to visit my lovely Singaporean-Bruneian friend Nabilah, who I met through the debating scene a couple of years ago.
it’s definitely very quiet here, which is a pleasant change from the chaotic city I’m used to. and I can’t get over how petrol here is only USD0.43 cents a litre.

i can't believe i'm saying this but...
i like the sun. i like the warmth. i like wearing as little clothes as possible. not just because its a lot more comfortable that way, it also means less laundry to do. but after being away for 6 weeks in european winter, (and despite hating the weather there for the first few weeks) i never thought i’d say it but i think i miss the cold.
